Frequently asked questions

What should I expect from a creative workshop with The Makery Co?

Our goal is to provide a warm, joyful and safe space for all to explore and nurture their inner artist. We want everyone to feel excited about having the opportunity to be creative instead of overwhelmed or daunted by the experience.

In our workshops you will be guided by one of our creative team members to assist you in your chosen creative experience.

We provide seating, materials and anything else specific to the unique creative workshop you have chosen.

So come be inspired, bring your friends and family, let us guide you and help you through your doubts to create wonderful things together!

Should I make a booking in advance?

Bookings for workshops are essential at The Makery Co. We have extremely limited spots available, so booking in advance is more than necessary. All bookings can be made via our website, please browse all our current workshops here, or contact us for a group booking, events & parties.

How old do I need to be to attend The Makery Co?

Creative Workshops
Unless specified in the workshop details, daytime workshops are ages 14+. All guests under 18 must be accompanied by a paid adult (18+) guest. Evening workshops (5pm onwards) are 18+ adults only.

Breastfeeding mums with bubs are welcome to attend creative workshops, however, toddlers, preschoolers and children who aren't paid ticket holders are not permitted during creative workshops.

What kind of workshops do you offer?

The Makery Co offers a few different types of creative workshops. They are ever changing so please check out our current workshops page here.

How many people do you have in your workshops?

We can accommodate groups of 20 or more at your chosen venue. Our public workshops will range in size dependent on location.

Workshops at my home studio are capped at a maximum of 20 guests.

Where is the studio located?

Please note the Hahndorf studio is closed.

My home studio in Echunga is open for workshops of up to 20 guests. Bookings for private groups are essential. Tickets to current workshops can be purchased on the website.

My team and I are also mobile and can host workshops at various venues across South Australia and can bring the creativity to you!

Do you travel for workshops?

Bookings of over 20 will be considered for an offsite option. Please contact us and one of our friendly staff will get back to you shortly.

If your group is under 20, please let me know and my home studio experience may be an option depending on availability!

I saw you only have workshops available on weekends. Can I book a workshop during the week?

Yes, absolutely! We can arrange a private workshop for any day of the week. My team and I can travel to you for groups of 20 or more guests, and for less than 20 guests my home studio is also available for bookings! Please contact us and either myself or one of my friendly staff will get back to you shortly.

What time should I arrive to the workshop I've booked?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so we can start the session on time. Please note that late arrivals are disruptive for the session and vital information will be missed.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear that can get a little dirty.

Are food and drinks provided during creative workshops?

Enjoy different options at each event venue. Please see your individual event for details.

Please note, inappropriate behaviour associated with alcohol consumption will not be tolerated.
