Terms & Conditions

Please read all terms & conditions prior to booking

If you do not accept these terms & conditions, please do not purchase a ticket at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

As a small business with limited seating, short notice cancellations and requests to reschedule have a big impact. Please ensure you have read, understood and agree to the terms and conditions outlined below, before proceeding with a booking. The following terms and conditions apply to all situations, including COVID-19.

Creative Workshops

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

All sales are final. No refunds will be given under any circumstances.

If a workshop takes place as advertised, there is no right to a refund, including where a ticket holder cannot attend because of adverse weather conditions or due to a change in the ticket holder’s personal circumstances, including injury or illness.

At anytime you can transfer or sell your tickets to a person of your choosing if unable to attend, penalty free, as organised by you.

Strictly no rescheduling allowed, or credit vouchers issued retrospectively for no-shows after the workshop has run.

Injury or illness prior to the date of your workshop

We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you’re unable to attend due to injury or illness, we encourage you to pass your ticket to a friend or family member who can enjoy the experience in your place.

As a small business, we’re unable to offer refunds or rescheduling. We appreciate your understanding.

Covid-19 policy

You must adhere to government advice regarding stay at home orders.

In order to give people the best view of the instructor we are not social distancing. If you are high-risk it is suggested you wear a mask or do not attend a workshop at this time.

We recommend that you find a replacement to take your place if you are sick. At anytime you can transfer or sell your tickets to a person of your choosing if unable to attend, penalty free, as organised by you.

Due to COVID-19 or other public health requirements, if a workshop is required to be cancelled or rescheduled under government instructions, all guests will have the option to attend a rescheduled event. Please note, refunds will not be given unless a workshop must be cancelled permanently.

Cancellation of session by The Makery Co

In the unlikely event a workshop is cancelled by The Makery Co, the ticket holder will be notified via email or text message no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the workshop.

Ticket holders will be offered an opportunity to reschedule to another upcoming session or be credited the value of their purchase for future use.

Respect staff & other guests:
We expect our guests to follow the guidance of staff and refrain from speaking over instructors or hindering the experience of other guests. The Makery Co will not tolerate any inappropriate, offensive, obscene, threatening or unruly behaviour towards our staff or other guests. Guests may be refused entry or asked to leave if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate.

Seating arrangements:
The Makery Co plans workshop seating in advance and aims to seat all guests from group bookings together. If guests purchase tickets individually, but would like to be seated with other attendees, please email us (hello@themakeryco.com.au) before the date of the workshop so this can be arranged.

Personal belongings:
The Makery Co does not accept responsibility for any losses or damage incurred to personal belongings or clothing. Guests should dress appropriately to the activity as recommended by us in the workshop description.

Respect tools & property:
Guests should not cause damage to any tools or property owned by The Makery Co.

Alcohol:
A liquor licence is not required to operate a BYO venue (Liquor Act 2007), however The Makery Co take precautions to operate responsibly. It is illegal for a person to supply liquor and for a minor to drink liquor in a BYO venue. The Makery Co strictly prohibits underage drinking.

Guests should also avoid taking photographs and videos of other guests, unless permission is given. No images are to be captured of minors, unless permission is granted by the parent or guardian.

Our Rights:
The Makery Co reserve the right to refuse a guest entry to our workshops on a temporary or permanent basis. The Makery Co reserves the right to request a guest leaves the workshop without a refund, should they breach any conditions of entry.

Events & Parties

Payment schedule

A 50% deposit is required for all events, with final payment due 2 weeks prior to your event.

Payments must be made in full by a singular party and are non-refundable.

Your event date and time will not be secured until a 50% deposit has been paid and received.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Rescheduling an existing booking

30 days or more from the date of your event:
Notice must be given via email (hello@themakeryco.com.au) if you wish to reschedule your event, penalty free, subject to availability.

In order to reschedule your event, final payment must be made to secure the new date and time.

We are unable to reschedule bookings 29 days or less from the date of your event. All payments will be forfeited.

If an individual guest from your event is unable to attend due personal circumstances, including injury or illness, you can at anytime transfer their place to another person of your choosing, penalty free, as organised by you.

No rescheduling or credit vouchers will be granted to individual guests at an event who are unable to attend at the last minute. Instructors have been booked, materials and resources purchased and a lot of behind the scenes setup has occurred. As a small business, the cost related to last-minute cancellations causes a great loss to the studio.

If you are rescheduling for a second time, ie your booking is rescheduled from a previous change – we will not reschedule your event. All payments will be forfeited.

All requests to reschedule an event are subject to availability and at the discretion of The Makery Co.

All requests must be made via email (hello@themakeryco.com.au) from the person who made the booking.

We aim to promptly answer all email requests within 24-48 hours. If you have not received a reply, please check your spam filter/junk mailbox.

We do not respond to DM's via social media.

Guests numbers

The minimum booking requirement for a private event at your chosen venue is 20 guests or an equivalent booking value.

If you have fewer than 20 guests, please enquire, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your event.

Unless otherwise agreed, your event may run alongside another concurrent booking within a shared space.

Some venues may incur an additional fee for travel and setup.

Session times

Events run for approximately 2 hours.

We can accommodate weekends and weekdays between the hours of 9am and 7pm by negotiation, please email us (hello@themakeryco.com.au).
