Terms & Conditions

Please read all terms & conditions prior to booking

If you do not accept these terms & conditions, please do not purchase a ticket at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

As a small business with limited seating, short notice cancellations and requests to reschedule have a big impact. Please ensure you have read, understood and agree to the terms and conditions outlined below, before proceeding with a booking. The following terms and conditions apply to all situations, including COVID-19.

Creative Workshops

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

All sales are final. No refunds will be given under any circumstances.

If a workshop takes place as advertised, there is no right to a refund, including where a ticket holder cannot attend because of adverse weather conditions or due to a change in the ticket holder’s personal circumstances, including injury or illness.

At anytime you can transfer or sell your tickets to a person of your choosing if unable to attend, penalty free, as organised by you.

Strictly no rescheduling allowed, or credit vouchers issued retrospectively for no-shows after the workshop has run.

All requests to reschedule a workshop are subject to availability and at the discretion of The Makery Co.

All requests must be made via email (hello@themakeryco.com.au) from the person who made the booking.

We aim to promptly answer all email requests within 24-48 hours. If you have not received a reply, please check your spam filter/junk mailbox.

We do not respond to DM's via social media.

Rescheduling for bookings of 5 or more guests

30 days or more from the date of your workshop:
Notice must be given via email (hello@themakeryco.com.au) if you wish to reschedule the workshop for your entire group booking, penalty free.

Within 29 days from the date of your workshop:
No reschedule or credit will be granted. Instructors have been booked, materials and resources purchased and a lot of behind the scenes setup will have occurred. As a small business, the cost related to large group booking cancellations causes a great loss to the studio. We are unable to advertise or resell large group bookings within this timeframe.

If an individual guest from your group booking needs to reschedule, the same terms set out below for bookings of 4 or less guests apply:

> 13-6 days from the date of your workshop (see terms below)

> Within 5 days from the date of your workshop (see terms below)

> Injury or illness prior to the date of your workshop (see terms below)

If you are rescheduling for a second time, ie your booking is rescheduled from a previous change – we will not reschedule your tickets – it will be up to you to transfer or sell your tickets to a person of your choosing.

Please rebook through our website (www.themakeryco.com.au), using the credit voucher code provided at checkout. No refunds will be issued if you rebook and forget to use the credit voucher code.

Within 5 days from the date of your workshop

No reschedule or credit will be granted. Instructors have been booked, materials and resources purchased and a lot of behind the scenes setup will have occurred. Injury or illness prior to the date of your workshop

If you sustain an injury or illness including COVID-19, we may issue a credit voucher if evidence is provided in the form of a doctors certificate detailing the injury or illness, the date it first occurred and that it prevents you from attending the workshop.

No reimbursement will be given for the cost of obtaining a doctors certificate.

No credit voucher will be issued retrospectively after the workshop has run. The request and evidence must be made via email (hello@themakeryco.com.au) before the workshop runs.

If granted, we will issue you a credit voucher for the full amount of your ticket purchase minus a 50% instructor, ticket and admin fee.

The credit voucher is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. You do not need to attend a workshop within 30 days, just rebook a workshop online within 30 days.

Covid-19 policy

You must adhere to government advice regarding stay at home orders.

In order to give people the best view of the instructor we are not social distancing. If you are high-risk it is suggested you wear a mask or do not attend a workshop at this time.

We recommend that you find a replacement to take your place if you are sick. At anytime you can transfer or sell your tickets to a person of your choosing if unable to attend, penalty free, as organised by you.

Due to COVID-19 or other public health requirements, if a workshop is required to be cancelled or rescheduled under government instructions, all guests will have the option to attend a rescheduled event. Please note, refunds will not be given unless a workshop must be cancelled permanently.

Cancellation of session by The Makery Co

In the unlikely event a workshop is cancelled by The Makery Co, the ticket holder will be notified via email or text message no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the workshop.

Ticket holders will be offered an opportunity to reschedule to another upcoming session or be credited the value of their purchase for future use.
